Shibani Spices Manufacturing Private Limited is based at 255/13 N.S.C. Bose Road. We are up on the third floor, specifically in Flat No. T1. It is a bit of a climb if the elevator is out, which happens sometimes in these older buildings. Kolkata is a big city for spices, and being in the 700047 area puts us right in the middle of things. We spend most of our time grinding and mixing. The smell of the spices stays in your clothes long after you leave the office. It is not a huge manufacturing plant with conveyor belts; it is more of a focused operation. We have to be careful with the proportions and the quality of what we get from the suppliers. N.S.C. Bose Road is always humming with activity. We are just a few people working out of a flat to get our products out. It is not very glamorous work. There is a lot of dust from the spices, and we have to keep everything very tidy. We have been in West Bengal for years, and this is just how we do things.
