Saheli Interior &Florist

Saheli Interior & Florist is located on the ground floor at 1 No. Jessore Road. We are right across the street from the Bharat Petroleum pump, so plenty of people see us when they are out getting fuel. Our shop is a bit of a mix of things. On one side we have fresh flowers coming in every morning, and on the other, we have samples for home curtains and wall designs. It started out with just flowers, but then we began helping people fix up their rooms too. The shop usually smells like jasmine or roses, which is nice compared to the exhaust fumes from Jessore Road. It is a busy road and the traffic never seems to stop. We have a few local people who come in every single day to buy flowers for their home altars. When we do interior work, we usually go to the person’s house and look at what they need. We are not designers with big degrees or anything like that. We just know what looks decent and what fits in a small Kolkata flat. Sometimes the shop gets a bit crowded with flower crates and fabric rolls everywhere. It is a small space to manage two different businesses, but we make it work. We do not do any big advertising. Most people just walk in because they saw the flowers from the street. We just try to give people what they want for their homes.
