S. Akberally & Co.

Our place at 137, B.R.B. Basu Road is one of those old spots where you can still see the history of the area in the cracks on the walls. It’s a busy street, always full of people rushing around, but inside S. Akberally & Co., things move at their own pace. We’ve been here for quite some time now, and most of the folks in the neighborhood know us by name. The front door is a bit heavy and it creaks when you open it, but we haven't bothered fixing it because it lets us know when someone is coming in. We spend most of our days dealing with paperwork and talking to people who drop by for various things. It’s not a fancy office with glass walls or anything like that. We have wooden desks that have seen better days and shelves stacked high with folders. Sometimes the dust gets a bit much, especially in the summer when the wind picks up off the road, but it’s home to us. You can hear the tea seller shouting outside around eleven every morning, which is usually when we take our first real break. We don’t really do much in the way of advertising because word of mouth seems to work well enough for us. People just know where 137 is and they stop by when they need something handled. It’s a simple way to run things, and it keeps us busy enough.
