Ruia Caterer & Decorator

We have been here at 50, Vivekananda Road for quite a long time now. Most people around Beadon St know us just by the noise of the trucks loading up early in the morning. Running Ruia Caterer & Decorator isn't exactly a quiet job. We spend most of our days sorting through stacks of chairs, folded drapes, and heavy cooking pots. It gets pretty cramped in the shop sometimes, especially when two big events happen on the same weekend. Someone is always misplacing a roll of tape or a specific color of fabric, but we usually find it eventually. The traffic on Vivekananda Road can be a real headache when we are trying to get the van out, but that is just how things are in this part of town. We handle the food and the look of the place, mostly for local families who need things done without a lot of fuss. It is hard work, standing on your feet for twelve hours, but seeing the venue come together makes it okay. We don't have a fancy office or anything, just a desk with too many papers on it and some samples of cloth hanging around. If you walk past Beadon St, you’ll likely see us hauling stuff in or out. It’s just us doing what we know how to do, day after day. We don't really have a big team, just a few reliable guys who don't mind getting their hands dirty.
