We’ve been working out of 99/45 M G Rd in Haridevpur for quite some time now. It is a small place where we keep all the cooking pots, the tents, and the lights for the events we handle. Most of our days are spent loading and unloading stuff from the rickshaws or the small vans. It gets pretty busy around here when there is a wedding season or some local festival in the neighborhood. We handle the food and the decorations together because that is how we started. My cousins and a few local boys help with the heavy lifting and the serving. We are not some big corporate office with a receptionist. Usually, you will find me or one of the guys cleaning the large degchis or checking the fabrics for the backdrops. It is honest work and it keeps us on our toes. Sometimes the traffic on M G Road makes it hard to get to a venue on time, so we try to leave way earlier than needed. We know most of the families around Haridevpur since we have lived here so long. If someone needs a small party set up, they usually just walk over and talk to us at the address. We don't really do the whole internet thing much. We just show up, do the job, and come back home. It is simple. Sometimes things break or the weather ruins a tent, but we just deal with it and keep going.
