Punjabi Di Hatti

Our place, Punjabi Di Hatti, sits right at the crossing of Park Street and Rafi Ahmed Kidwai Road, at 46C. It’s a very busy corner of the city. There’s always traffic and noise outside, but inside we are just focused on the food. We’ve been here for years, and the location is something everyone knows. People stop by when they are tired from shopping or working nearby. We mostly do traditional Punjabi dishes because that’s what we know how to do. The kitchen is always going, from early morning until late at night. It’s a small space, so things can get a bit tight when it’s crowded, but nobody seems to mind much. We don't have a big marketing team or anything like that. The sign outside is old, and the walls have seen a lot of history. We just try to make sure the food is hot and the portions are enough to fill you up. Sometimes the rain leaks in a bit or the power goes out, but we just light some candles and keep serving. That’s the way things are in this part of town. We are just a local spot where you can get a bite to eat without any fuss. It’s hard work, and the commute for the staff is often long, but we show up every day. We’ve become a part of the daily routine for a lot of office goers who work in the Park Street area.
