Prolabs

Prolabs is located at 700F, Block-P in New Alipore. It’s a nice enough area, a bit quieter than some of the more central parts of Kolkata. Our office is tucked away in the block, and we’ve been here for a good while. We do a lot of testing and lab-related work, so the inside of the place is mostly tables with different instruments and computers. It’s not a place where you’ll find a lot of decorations. We mostly focus on the technical stuff. The staff here is pretty small, and we all know each other well. We start our day early, usually with a quick talk about what samples or tests need to be finished by the evening. New Alipore has a lot of trees, which makes the walk to the office a bit better during the humid months. Sometimes we have clients dropping off things to be checked, but a lot of our work is just heads-down at the benches. We don't do much in the way of advertising; people usually find us because they need specific lab work done. The office can get a little crowded when we have a big batch of work coming in, but we manage. We like the local food stalls nearby for lunch, and it’s a fairly relaxed atmosphere despite the precision needed for the lab work. It’s just a regular workplace where we try to stay focused and get the results right.
