Peshkar

Peshkar is our little business located at 27 Western Street. We are situated right near the Boubazar Police Station here in Bowbazar. It's a busy neighborhood and we’ve been operating from this address for a long time. People around here know us. We don't have a big flashy storefront. It’s just a place where we get the work done. Mostly we deal with catering and food for local gatherings. The streets around the police station are always crowded, so getting deliveries in and out can be a bit of a challenge. We have to time everything right. Our staff is just a few local guys who have been with us for years. We know each other well and we know how to work together in a small space. We don't use any corporate talk here. We just cook what people ask for. Sometimes the orders are big, sometimes they are small. It’s about the daily routine of prepping, cooking, and packing. The smell of spices is always in the air around our door. It’s a tough business, but it keeps us going. We don’t really look for fame, just enough work to keep the lights on and the kitchen running. Bowbazar is our home, and we like being part of the community. We often find ourselves working late into the night to finish preparations for an early breakfast order. The neighborhood gets quiet then. We don't use any fancy software, just a pen and a notebook. It’s old fashioned but it works for us.
