We've been at No. 154 Old China Bazar Street for a very long time now. People usually find us by the big stacks of boxes out front because space is always tight here. My father used to run things, and now we just keep the doors open every day except Sundays. It gets pretty crowded on this street, especially when the morning deliveries arrive. We deal with all sorts of things that people need for their shops or homes. It’s not a fancy place at all. The fans move the air around, but it still gets warm in the afternoons. Sometimes we lose track of where a specific item is, but we always find it eventually. Most of our regulars have been coming here since they were kids with their own parents. We spend a lot of time just talking to folks who stop by. There is no website or anything like that. We just write everything down in the big ledger books. If you walk down the lane past the tea stall, you’ll see our sign. It’s a bit faded from the sun. The shelves go all the way to the ceiling, so we use a wooden ladder that’s probably older than I am. It’s a lot of work, but this is what we do. We don't change things much around here because the old way still works fine for us and our neighbors.
