Opus 9 is tucked away on Nimtalla Ghat Street. It’s an old part of the city with a lot of history in the bricks. We like being here because it has a certain character you don’t find in the newer developments. Our office isn’t much to look at from the outside, but it’s where we do all our thinking and planning. We mostly focus on our projects and try not to get distracted by the noise from the street. It can get pretty busy outside with people heading down to the ghats for various reasons. Inside, it's just a couple of desks and some old chairs we’ve had forever. We don't have a fancy coffee machine, just a kettle that takes forever to boil. We’ve had some long nights here working on deadlines. It’s not a glamorous life, but it’s ours. We don't use big words to describe what we do. We just take on the work, do our bit, and hope it turns out okay. Sometimes things go wrong and we have to start over, but that’s just part of the process. Being on Nimtalla Ghat Street means we are part of the daily rhythm of the neighborhood. We know the tea seller on the corner and the guy who delivers the mail. It’s a small community and we are just one little piece of it, trying to stay useful and finish our tasks before sunset.
