Mitra Equipments

You can find us at 77, N. S. Road. It’s a busy street and there is always something going on outside our door. Mitra Equipments is tucked into a spot that we’ve had for quite some time. The walls are lined with different parts and machines that we handle. It’s not the biggest space, but we make it work by stacking things high. We spend a lot of time on the phone or talking to people who walk in looking for specific equipment. Sometimes we have what they need right there, other times we have to go looking through the back room. The N. S. Road area is good because so many other businesses are nearby, so we can usually find whatever we need just by walking a block or two. Our desks are usually covered in drawings and order forms. We try to keep things neat, but when it’s busy, that goes out the window pretty fast. We don't really have a big staff, just a few of us who know the machines inside and out. We drink a lot of chai and talk about the news while we wait for deliveries to show up. It’s a simple way of doing business, no fancy computers for everything, just notebooks and a lot of talking to make sure things get done right. Working on N. S. Road has its challenges, like finding parking, but we wouldn't want to be anywhere else.
