Mediciner

Our shop is named Mediciner and we are located at 106A Ground Floor on Rash Behari Avenue. If you know the area, you know how busy Rash Behari Avenue gets. There are always people walking past the door and the sound of horns is constant. We are on the ground floor which is convenient for everyone. I usually get here early to set things up before the rush starts. The shop space isn't huge but we make use of every inch of the walls for shelving. We have all sorts of medicines stacked up high. Sometimes I need a small ladder to reach the top rows. It is a bit of a workout. The floor is tile and I mop it every day because so many people walk in from the street. During the afternoons, it gets a bit quieter when the sun is high. That is when I check the expiry dates on the bottles. It is a boring task but it has to be done. We get regulars who live in the flats nearby. They usually stop for a quick chat while I look for their tablets. I have known some of them for years. Working at Mediciner means seeing a lot of different people every day. Some are stressed and others are just going about their business. We just stand behind the counter and help them out with whatever is on their prescription. It is a steady job in a noisy part of town.
