We are set up on the second floor of 10L, D.P.P. Road. It is Flat No 2A, right in the Naktala area of Kolkata. If you know South Kolkata, you know this part of town gets quite crowded during the morning rush. We have been working out of this space for some time now. Mediaedge:Cia India Pvt. Ltd. is basically a bunch of us sitting around monitors and talking about how to get things noticed in the market. It is not like those big fancy offices you see in movies with glass walls and minimalist furniture. It is just a regular flat that we converted into a workspace. The stairs can be a bit steep if you aren't used to them, and the elevator is a bit temperamental. We spend a lot of time on the phone or looking at huge spreadsheets. Sometimes the internet acts up, which is a real pain, but we manage. Naktala is a good spot because the metro is close by, so getting here isn't too bad for the staff. We usually have lunch together or grab something from the local shops downstairs. There is a small tea stall nearby that makes decent ginger chai. We do a lot of planning and coordination here. It gets noisy when everyone is talking at once, especially during a deadline. We just try to get the job done without too much fuss. It’s a practical setup for the kind of work we handle every day.
