We are up on the 6th floor of Poddar Point, right on Park Street in Kolkata. It’s a busy building with a lot of different offices, but we focus on the agro side of things from here. It might seem a bit strange to have an agro business in the middle of such a crowded city street, but this is where we handle the planning and the business side. Park Street is always loud and full of traffic, so getting to the office can be a bit of a hassle in the mornings. We aren't a huge firm with hundreds of employees. It is just a small team of us working in Room 113. We spend our days on the phone or looking at spreadsheets, trying to figure out the best way to move forward with our agricultural projects. The elevators in this building are sometimes slow, which gives us time to chat with the other people working on our floor. It is a lot of paperwork and talking to suppliers. Even though we are in a high-rise, our minds are usually on the farms and the land outside the city. We don't do much in the way of advertising. We just stick to our tasks and try to keep things organized. It is a bit different from being out in the fields, but it is necessary work. We keep the kettle going for tea and just get on with it daily.
