You can find us on the first floor of the Wild Orchid building, right on Ostad Amir Khan Sarani. It’s in Block-A, specifically apartment F-3. This part of Kolkata is always busy, and there is always something going on outside our windows. We’ve been operating Levi Strauss (India) Pvt Ltd from this spot for a while now. The building is 329/1, and it’s pretty easy to find once you’re on the right street. We don’t have a big corporate lobby or a bunch of security guards. It’s just a regular office floor where we sit and do our work. Sometimes the stairs can be a bit of a climb if the lift is acting up, but we don’t mind. The space is filled with desks and papers and the sound of people talking. We keep things pretty simple here. There’s no need for anything extra. We just focus on the tasks at hand. The neighborhood has some good food spots nearby, which is a plus for lunch breaks. We’ve gotten used to the noise of the traffic and the general energy of the city. It keeps us moving. Our office isn’t perfect—it’s a bit lived-in and can get cluttered—but it’s where we get things done. We like the fact that we’re right in the middle of everything. It feels real and grounded, unlike those fancy offices you see in movies.
