Raja & Mitsu Fashions

Raja & Mitsu Fashions is tucked away in the Kamalaya Centre, specifically at No. 508 on Lenin Sarani. Being on the fifth floor means we get a bit of a break from the street noise below, though the elevators in this building can be a bit temperamental sometimes. We spend our days surrounded by fabrics, sketches, and a lot of thread. It’s a fashion business, but don’t expect a runway or anything like that. It’s mostly hard work, cutting patterns and checking that the stitching is straight. We have a small team, and we all pitch in wherever we’re needed, whether that’s packing boxes or answering the phone. The workspace is usually a mess of colorful materials, but we have our own system for finding things. Lenin Sarani is a busy area, and there’s always something happening outside, but inside we just focus on the clothes. We’ve had the same people working here for quite a while, so we know each other's habits and how we like our tea. We don't spend money on fancy decorations for the office because we’d rather just get the job done right. It’s a practical place for people who actually enjoy making things. We show up, we do the work, and we go home. That’s how it’s been for years, and we don’t see any reason to change it. It’s just us, doing what we know how to do in our little corner of the city, one garment at a time.
