We are based over at 6/2D Naktala Road, which is Samrat Nandi’s place, shared with Shibaji Nandi. Working in a house in Naktala is quite different from being in a city high-rise. The 700047 area of West Bengal is always moving, and the road outside is usually full of rickshaws and people heading to the market. Our office is just a couple of rooms where we handle all the media data and paperwork. It can get a little cramped when we have a lot of new projects coming in, but we manage by staying organized and helping each other out. There is no big sign outside, so you have to know the house number to find us. We mostly spend our time on computers, checking facts and updating lists. The Nandi family has been here for a long time, so the building has a lot of history. We like the local vibe of Naktala because you can get good snacks right outside the gate during the break. It’s an honest way to work, without all the pressure of a big office park. We don't use any fancy business jargon here. We just talk like regular people and try to get the work done before it gets too late in the evening. Most of the staff lives nearby, so we know the area like the back of our hand. It’s just a practical, local operation running out of a home office. We keep things simple and move forward.
