Our place is located at Building Number 6, on the ground floor of the staff quarters premises. It is right by the Agar Para Jute Mills in Kamarhatty. Being in an industrial area like this gives the work a very specific feel. Infomedia 18 has its setup here, and we have been operating out of this spot for quite some time. The surroundings are very much part of the old industrial belt of West Bengal, with the jute mill nearby and the staff quarters all around us. It is a bit of a walk from the main gate to get to the office, but it is a familiar route for all of us. The ground floor stays relatively cool even when it is hot outside. We deal with various media and information tasks here, mostly focused on getting things ready for print or digital use. It is not a place for high-fashion or corporate glitz. It is more about the grit and the daily grind of getting things finished on time. We see the mill workers going about their shifts, and it reminds us of the history of this location. There are no fancy decorations in the office, just the stuff we need to do our jobs. We have a lot of old files and computers that keep us busy from morning till evening. It is a bit of a hidden spot, but it suits the kind of practical, hands-on work we do every day.
