We are based in the Krishna Building on A.J.C Bose Road. Specifically, we are up on the fifth floor in room number 517. Being that high up means the climb is long if the lift is broken, which happens more than we’d like. But the office itself is a decent place to spend the day. Indian Agribusiness Systems Pvt Ltd has been here for a while. We have a lot of shelves filled with folders and ledgers. The air is a bit cooler up here than it is on the ground floor, which is a relief in the summer. We spend most of our time on the phones or typing away at the computers. It’s a very routine kind of life. We get in, check the messages, and start working through the pile of things that need doing. The Krishna Building is full of all sorts of different businesses, so you see a lot of different people in the hallways. We keep to ourselves mostly, just focusing on our own tasks. It’s not a shiny corporate office with a reception desk and fancy water. It’s just us and our work. We usually have a lot of maps and charts pinned to the walls. It helps us keep track of things in our head. By the end of the day, we’re usually pretty tired, but it’s a good kind of tired. We just lock up the room and head back down to the busy road. It's just a job, but we do it well.
