India Today Group has this spot at 75, Raj Ballav Saha Lane in Howrah-1. It’s a busy, crowded area, and finding the office can be a bit of a challenge if you aren't used to the narrow streets of Howrah. This is where we handle a lot of the local operations. We aren't sitting in a quiet, air-conditioned tower. It’s more of a real-world environment where we are dealing with the local news and distribution. The desks are usually piled high with newspapers and folders. There is always the sound of traffic from the lane outside. We’ve got a small team here, and we all end up doing a bit of everything. Whether it’s answering the phone or sorting out delivery issues, we just get it done. We don't really go for the polished corporate image. We are just a group of people working in a fairly old part of town. It’s a bit dusty and a bit loud, but it’s our home base. We keep things simple and just focus on the task at hand without any extra fluff or fancy presentations. That’s just the way it is in Howrah. Most of us have been working here long enough that we don't even notice the noise anymore.
