If you look for us, we are over at 1 Auckland Place. It’s an interesting spot to work out of. Most people think of big factories when they hear about petrochemicals, and yeah, that’s the main thing we do, but here at the office, it’s mostly just paperwork and phone calls. The building has its own character, not like those glass towers you see in the newer parts of the city. We’ve been here for a good stretch of time. In the mornings, the street is usually quiet until the shops nearby start opening up. Much of our time is spent looking at charts and coordinating with the plants. It’s not the kind of work that sounds exciting when you talk about it at dinner, but it keeps things moving. Coffee is a big part of our day and we try to keep the files organized. Sometimes the elevators are a bit slow, so we take the stairs if we’re in a hurry. You get a mix of people coming through here, some looking for meetings and others just delivering mail. It’s a steady routine. We don’t really do much in the way of fancy displays or anything. We just have our desks, our computers, and the work that needs to get done by the end of the day. It’s just how we run things at this location. It works for us and the crew here seems to like the rhythm of the place.
