Our main office is over at Auchkland Place. It’s a bit of a different vibe from the actual plants where the real heavy lifting happens. At Haldia Petrochemicals Ltd., we spend a lot of time dealing with the paperwork and the logistics that keep the bigger operations running. Auchkland Place is a decent area, though parking can be a bit of a headache if you get there at the wrong time of day. Inside the office, it’s mostly just desks, phones, and a lot of maps of where our shipments are going. We deal with a lot of different people every day, from suppliers to distributors, and it keeps us pretty busy from morning until evening. It's not the kind of place with a lot of flash or decorations. We focus on the numbers and making sure the schedules for the petrochemical deliveries are actually met. Sometimes the phones don't stop ringing and it gets a bit loud, but that’s just the nature of the business. We've been at this for years, and you learn a lot about how things move across the country when you sit in this chair long enough. It’s a lot of coordination between different departments. We aren't doing anything flashy here, just the steady work of managing a large-scale operation from a central spot. Some days are smoother than others, especially when the logistics chains get tangled up, but we just sit down and sort it out one call at a time.
