You can find us at 22 Gurusaday Road. We are right near the Maxmullar Bhawan in the Ballygunge area. It’s a nice part of town with lots of trees. Govinda Restaurant is a place where we only serve vegetarian food. We have been here for a good amount of time. The kitchen stays busy from the morning until we close up at night. We don't have any meat products here at all. It’s a choice we made right from the start. The staff is quite small, just a few cooks and people to help out front. We keep the tables simple and the floor clean. It is not one of those loud, trendy places. It’s usually quiet enough to have a conversation. People from the offices nearby often come in during their lunch breaks. We know most of them by face. Gurusaday Road is usually busy with cars, but inside it feels a bit more relaxed. We don't put out a lot of advertisements. People just find us or hear about us from a friend. We focus on the food and making sure the kitchen is running smoothly. The recipes we use haven't changed much over the years. We just stick to what we know how to do. It’s a straightforward business. We show up, we cook, and we go home. It’s a simple life for us here in Ballygunge.
