Fashion Express

You can find Fashion Express at 9 Kustia Masjid Bari Lane. It’s a narrow lane, and it can be a bit tricky for big vehicles to get through. We’ve been here for quite a while now. The building is an old one, with those thick walls that stay cool even when the sun is beating down. Inside, it’s a bit of a maze with different rooms for different tasks. We don't have fancy furniture or anything. Most of our stuff is second-hand or built ourselves to fit the space. It’s a very local operation. We know the shopkeepers nearby and we usually share some tea with them in the afternoons. The lane is always full of life, with people walking by and the sound of the mosque nearby. We’ve got a couple of big cutting tables and some sewing machines that have seen better days but still run perfectly fine. We don't spend money on decorating or big logos. The work we do keeps us busy enough. Sometimes the rain floods the lane a little, but we just carry on. It’s a humble place, and we like it that way. It’s where we feel most at home. We just show up every morning and see what the day brings. It isn't perfect, but it's ours, and it serves the purpose. We keep a small radio on the shelf that mostly plays old songs while we focus on the piles of fabric in front of us.
