Dove Publishing House

We are over at No. 9/4 Tamer Lane. If you know the area, you know Tamer Lane is one of those narrow streets where you have to pull your mirrors in sometimes. Our publishing house has been tucked away here for a while. It’s a place full of stacks of paper and the smell of ink. We aren't a big commercial printer with giant machines that run all night. It’s more of a quiet place where we put books together and check the proofs. The building is old, and the rooms are a bit dark, but it’s perfect for focusing on the text. We have a few old desks and some computers that have seen better days, but they get the job done. Sometimes we have authors coming in to talk about their manuscripts, and we sit around a small table with tea. It’s not a fancy corporate office with glass walls. It’s just a house turned into a workspace. We spend our days looking at fonts and fixing typos. It can be tedious work, but someone has to do it. The street outside is always busy with people walking and carts moving, but inside it’s usually just the sound of someone typing or the printer hum. We don't do much advertising. People find us by word of mouth or they just stumble across us on Tamer Lane. It’s a simple life of making books.
