Deepa Teckchandani

Deepa Teckchandani is based right here at 148, Park Street. It is a busy spot, as anyone who knows this part of the city can tell you. The building is one of those older ones that has seen a lot of people come and go over the decades. Inside, the space is simple. It is not one of those modern offices with glass walls and bright lights. We have some sturdy desks, a lot of files, and a few chairs that have been around since we first opened the doors. It is mostly just a few of us working here every day. We don’t really do much in the way of advertising or trying to get attention. People usually find out about us because they are already walking down Park Street or someone they know told them to come by. It gets a bit noisy with the traffic outside, but we are used to the sound of the horns and the people. Sometimes the lift in the building acts up, so we end up taking the stairs, which keeps us moving. There is a tea stall nearby that we visit way too often. We don't have a big corporate plan. We just show up, do the work that needs doing for the day, and go home. It is a straightforward way of doing things. We like the history of this area and being right in the middle of everything. It just feels like the right place to be.
