Crystal & Co

Crystal & Co is located at B-33 in New Market. This is an old part of the city, and the market itself has a lot of history. Our shop is one of many in the B block. It’s a small space, typical for this area, where every inch is used for something. We deal with whatever comes our way in terms of the business. The walls are lined with old shelves and the floor is a bit worn from all the people walking in and out over the years. New Market is a maze, so finding B-33 can take a minute if you aren't familiar with the layout. We don't have fancy lights or modern displays. It’s more of a traditional shop feel. Most of our neighbors have been here as long as we have. We spend the day talking to regulars and the occasional tourist who gets lost. It can get very crowded on the weekends, making it hard to even move in the aisles. We just keep things ticking along. There isn't a big philosophy behind it; we just open the shutters, do our business, and close up at night. It’s a humble spot in a very famous market. We like the energy of the place even when it's chaotic. There is always someone shouting or a porter rushing past with a heavy load.
