Crime Detective World Kolkata

We’re based at No. 2/101/1 Dumdum Road, right near Indra Medan. This part of Kolkata is always moving, and being near Dumdum Road means we’re never far from the action or the noise. Crime Detective World is a bit of a different kind of business. It’s not like a regular shop where you buy things or get things fixed. People come to us when they have problems they can’t solve on their own or when they need to find out something they don't know for sure. The office is simple, with a few desks and some filing cabinets that are probably fuller than they should be. It’s a bit of a private place, as you might imagine given the line of work we’re in. We spend a lot of time on the phone or out and about in the city, following leads. Kolkata is a big place, and things can get complicated pretty quickly once you start looking into them. We don't have any flashy gadgets like you see in the movies, just hard work and a lot of patience. Sometimes we’re sitting here late at night trying to piece things together from various notes. The noise from the street is a constant background sound, and the tea from the shop downstairs is what keeps us going. It’s an interesting job, though it’s not always as exciting as people think. It’s mostly about paying attention to details and talking to people. We’ve been at this location for a long while now.
