We are based over at Aikyaneer Apartment on Dum Dum Road. It’s a busy part of Kolkata, especially with all the traffic right outside the flat at S-1/2. Most people around here know the area for the local shops and the metro nearby, but we have been tucked away in this building for a while now doing credit management work for Coface India. It is not some massive corporate high-rise or anything fancy. It is just a regular flat where we handle the paperwork and look into financial things for different businesses. Sometimes it gets a bit noisy outside because of the cars and rickshaws on Dum Dum Road, but we manage to get our tasks done. People come in and out through the day, mostly dealing with credit reports or checking on payment histories. We have been part of this specific neighborhood for a good bit of time. It is a practical spot for us because it is easy for the staff to reach from different parts of the city. There is usually someone at the desk trying to sort out a file or taking a call. We do not really do big advertising or anything like that. Most of what happens here is just steady work from Monday to Friday. The other people living in the apartment complex are used to us being here. It is just how we operate, keeping things simple and functional. When the rain starts, the street gets a bit messy, but the office stays busy. It is not a flashy setup, but it works for the kind of credit work we do.
