Anand Jute Industries

Our office is at 5 Clive Row, up on the second floor in room number 51. Clive Row is one of those old, busy streets where there’s always something going on. Anand Jute Industries has been around this area for quite a while. Jute is what we know. The office is small and filled with samples of different grades of jute and some old ledgers. It feels like a place that has seen a lot of history. We spend our days talking to suppliers and checking on shipments. The building is one of those classic Kolkata structures with high ceilings and thick walls. It stays relatively cool even when the weather outside is hot and humid. We don't have any high-tech gadgets here, just some basic computers and a landline that rings quite often. Most of our visitors are people we’ve known for decades. We deal with the raw material and the processed goods too. It's a traditional business, really. We don't see the need to change how we do things much because the old ways still work for us. If you're looking for room 51, just take the stairs; the old lift is sometimes reliable and sometimes not. We just keep moving the jute along. It’s what the family has done for a long time now. We aren't going anywhere else.
