We’ve been based in the Vardaan AC Market on Camac Street for quite a while now. Specifically, you can find us over at unit B-97, though we also have a connection to B-58 in the same building. Kolkata summers are no joke, so being inside the air-conditioned market makes the long days a lot more manageable for everyone. It’s always a bit of a scramble in the mornings getting everything set up before the shoppers start arriving. The market has its own energy, with a lot of people coming and going throughout the day. We aren't a big, fancy operation with a lot of bells and whistles. We’re just regular people who come in, do our work, and head home. Our space is functional and serves us well enough for what we need to do. Sometimes the hallways get a bit crowded and noisy, but that’s just the reality of being in a popular spot like Camac Street. We don't really bother with big advertising or corporate slogans. Most of our regulars just know where we are and stop by when they need something. It’s a simple way to run things, and it’s worked for us so far. We like the community here in the market and have gotten to know the other shopkeepers over the years. It’s a busy life, but it’s honest work and we’re happy to be part of the local scene here in the city.
