Mukund Garments

Mukund Garments is up on the first floor at 43 Kailash Bose Street. It’s in Block A of an older building that has seen better days. The walk up the stairs is a bit steep, but it keeps us moving. We’ve been making garments in this spot for a while now. The space isn't very large, so we have to be smart about where we put the cutting tables and the sewing machines. Sometimes it feels a bit cramped when we have a big order going out, but we make it work. Kailash Bose Street is a busy place with a lot of history and a lot of noise. You can hear the sounds of the street even when the windows are shut. We don't have a big marketing budget or a fancy website. Most people just know us because we've been here for years. The floor is usually covered in little scraps of thread and fabric by the end of the day. We try to sweep up, but it starts all over again the next morning. It’s a simple life of making clothes and dealing with the daily small problems that come up. We don't have any corporate titles here; everyone just pitches in where they are needed. It’s a local business through and through, just doing our thing in our corner of the city. We aren't worried about being the biggest, just about finishing the work on our tables.
