Naya Udyog

Naya Udyog is located at No. 206 Bidhan Sarani. It’s an old part of town, and the building reflects that with its thick walls and high ceilings that keep things a bit cooler. We have been working out of this space for quite some time now. It is mostly filled with the supplies and goods we handle every day. There are stacks of boxes almost reaching the ceiling in some spots, making the aisles narrow. Our day usually starts early before the traffic on Bidhan Sarani gets too bad to handle. We spend a lot of time on the phone or writing down orders in big ledger books with blue covers. It’s not a digital-first kind of place; we still like our paper and pens for everything. The air is often heavy with the smell of old paper and the city dust that comes in. We have a small area cleared out for a desk and a few chairs for when people come by to talk about business or just catch up. It’s a practical setup without any bells or whistles. We don't really have a showroom; it’s more of a functional workspace where things move in and out all day long. The light comes in through the tall windows, showing all the dust motes dancing in the air when the sun is out. We keep a teapot handy because there’s always someone stopping by for a chat. It’s a traditional way of doing things, and it works for us.
