Bharaati

Bharaati is tucked away on Canal Street in the Lake Town area. You can find us at number 104, not far from the Sree Bhumi Post Office. It’s a busy part of Kolkata, especially with the post office right there. We spend most of our time organizing the stock and talking to people who stop by. It isn't a massive showroom or anything like that, just a local shop where we keep things simple. We have been here at this spot for some time now. Some days are quiet and we just sit and wait for the afternoon rush. Other days, it feels like everyone is coming in at once. We don't have a big corporate team, it's just us running the show day to day. We handle everything from opening the shutters to cleaning the floor. People usually come in because they are already in Lake Town for other chores and see our sign. It is a practical way to run things. We don't spend money on glossy brochures or big banners. We just make sure we are there when the door opens. If you are walking down Canal Street, you’ll probably see us. It’s a small business, and we like it that way. It lets us know our customers by name sometimes. That’s how it works here in our corner of the city. We just keep at it and hope the neighbors keep visiting our little place.
