Bengal Waterproofing Co. is located at 17, Bal Mukund Macker Road, and we actually take up the ground, first, and second floors of the building. We are right near Mahajati Sadan, which is a big landmark that helps people find us when they get lost on the street. Having three floors sounds like a lot, but we fill them up pretty quickly with all the equipment and materials needed for waterproofing. The stairs are narrow, and we are constantly going up and down between the levels to talk to each other or grab something from storage. It’s an old building, but it works for us. The ground floor is usually where the most action happens with people coming in and out. Up on the second floor, things are a bit quieter, mostly for the office work and keeping the books. We spend a lot of time talking about roofs and leaks and how to keep the rain out of buildings. Being so close to Mahajati Sadan means the area is always lively with people walking by. It can get a bit cramped inside when we have a lot of stock, but we manage to stay organized enough to get the work done. We aren’t a fancy outfit with a glass front, just a working company in a busy part of the city. We’ve been at this address for a long time now, and the neighbors all know what we do.
