Bay Leaf Restaurant

Bay Leaf Restaurant is located at 31, Bentinck Street, right next to Paradise in the Esplanade area. This part of the city is always crowded and full of life, which is why we chose it. We’ve been serving people here for quite a while now. It’s not a place where you’ll find white tablecloths or formal service. We’re more of a practical spot for people who are out shopping or working in the busy Esplanade district. The kitchen is small but efficient, and we put a lot of work into the daily specials. We aren't trying to be the trendiest place in town. We just focus on making sure the food is hot and tastes good. Being near Bentinck Street means we get a real mix of people coming through the doors. Some are in a hurry, others want to sit for a bit and escape the heat outside. We try to accommodate everyone. It’s a lot of work keeping up with the pace of this neighborhood. Sometimes the noise from the street is loud, but that’s just Esplanade for you. We don’t have a big marketing budget or a fancy website. We just rely on people walking by and the regulars who have been coming to us for years. It’s an honest way to run a business. We’re just glad to have a spot in such a historic part of the city.
