You can find Bawarchi Restaurant & Caterers at 58/1, right by Hindusthan Sweets on Central Road. We’re tucked in beside the 8B bus stand, which is a real landmark around Jadavpur University. Being so close to the university means we see a lot of students and staff every single day. It’s a lively atmosphere, and we like the buzz of the bus stand nearby. We do both the restaurant side of things and catering for events. It keeps us on our toes. The space isn’t huge, but we make the most of it. We don’t have any fancy mission statements or corporate goals. We just want to serve food that people enjoy and can afford. Sometimes the lunch rush gets a bit crazy with all the students, and it can be a struggle to find a seat, but we do our best. The catering side takes us to different parts of the city, but the restaurant is our home base. We've been here long enough to see students graduate and then come back years later with their families. That’s a nice feeling. We don't use a lot of complicated ingredients. It's just straightforward cooking. Our staff are mostly locals who have been with us for a while. We aren't looking to expand into a giant chain. We’re just happy being a fixture in the Jadavpur area.
