Basanta Villa & Caterer

We've been at 24/1, Nabalia Para Road for a while now. Running Basanta Villa & Caterer takes up most of our time, but we like it that way. Mostly we handle local gatherings and small parties around the neighborhood. It started because we enjoyed cooking for friends, then more people started asking. The kitchen stays pretty busy, especially on weekends when everyone has an event. We don't do anything too fancy, just the kind of food people actually want to eat at a wedding or a birthday. Nabalia Para Road is where we grew up, so we know most of the faces that walk through the door. It’s not a big corporate operation. It’s just us and a few helpers getting the pots ready. Sometimes things get a bit hectic when two orders come in at once, but we manage. We try to keep things straightforward and honest. If someone wants a specific dish from home, we try to make it happen. Usually, people just come by the villa to talk about their plans and we sit down with some tea. We don't have a big fancy office, just the workspace and the catering equipment. It feels right being part of the community here. If you're walking down the road, you'll probably smell whatever is cooking that day. It's a lot of hard work, standing on your feet all day, but seeing a happy family after a meal makes it worth the effort. We just keep doing our thing.
