If you are looking for us, we are up on the 10th floor of a building on Synagogue Street in Kolkata. Our room number is 1015. It’s right in the middle of the city, which is very loud and crowded most of the time. It might seem a bit odd to have an agro company in such a busy place, but this is where all the trade happens. Our office is pretty small and it’s always filled with stacks of paper and people talking on the phone. We deal with various agro products and coordinate with suppliers from all over West Bengal. It’s not a fancy place at all. We have some old desks and chairs, and the fan makes a lot of noise, but it works for us. We spend our days tracking shipments and making sure the numbers in our books are correct. It’s a lot of back and forth with the markets. We don’t have any polished corporate brochures or big slogans. We just focus on the work that needs to be done each day. Sometimes the lift in the building doesn't work, so we have to walk up, which isn't much fun. But that’s just life in Kolkata. We’ve been here for a good while and we know how the business works. It’s a practical, straightforward operation and we don’t try to make it sound like more than it is.
