B L Caterer

B L Caterer is a small outfit located at 7 B, Krishna Das Pal Lane. We are quite close to Girish Park and Beadon Street, which is a very old and busy part of the city. The lanes around here are narrow, and it can be hard to move big pots of food, but we have been doing it for years. My family has always been into cooking, and this business grew out of that. We don't have a huge kitchen or fancy equipment. It’s just a lot of big stoves and people chopping vegetables early in the morning. We do food for weddings, small house parties, and local gatherings. Most people find out about us because they ate our food at a neighbor's place. We don't do much in the way of marketing or anything like that. The kitchen is usually a bit of a mess with steam and spices everywhere, but that’s how you know the food is being made fresh. We have a few regular helpers who come in when we have a big order. Sometimes we are working all through the night to get everything ready for a lunch party the next day. It’s hard work and it gets very hot in the summer, but we just keep going. We aren't trying to be the biggest in town, just a local place that makes decent food for the neighborhood.
