Atlanta Health Centre

Our place, Atlanta Health Centre, is at 59 Southern Avenue. It’s a nice part of Kolkata, right near the Lake. You get a lot of people walking by in the mornings and evenings when they go for their daily strolls. The trees make the air feel a bit cooler here than in other parts of the city. We’ve been in this building for a good number of years now. It’s a solid old place with high ceilings and thick walls. We try to keep it tidy, though with so many people coming in and out, the floors get dirty pretty fast. We don’t have a big corporate office feel here. It’s more like a local spot where things are handled in a practical, hands-on way. We have our regulars who we’ve known for a long time. Some days are just filled with paperwork and phone calls that never seem to end. We don't have any fancy brochures or professional photos of the place. What you see is what you get when you walk through the door. It’s just us working through the various tasks of the day. Sometimes the traffic on Southern Avenue is a bit much, especially during rush hour, but mostly it’s a quiet enough spot to work. We aren't trying to be the biggest centre or anything like that. We just want to keep the doors open and do our bit for the people who come to see us.
