Arrif Khan Productions

We are located at 94 Ballygunge Place. It is right across from the BSNL Calcutta Telephone Exchange, which makes it very easy for people to find us. Ballygunge is a nice part of town, and our building is a bit of an older style that fits right in. Arrif Khan Productions is based here, and we’ve tried to make the space as comfortable as possible. It’s not a high-tech studio with soundproofing on every wall. We have some heavy curtains and a lot of rugs to help with the noise. The rooms are a bit small, but we’ve managed to fit in everything we need. There’s a lot of equipment lying around, from cameras to tripods, and sometimes you have to step over a few cables to get to the back. We have a small kitchen area where we make tea and sometimes heat up some lunch. The atmosphere is pretty relaxed. We don't have strict office hours, so sometimes the lights are on late into the night. You can hear the traffic from the main road if it’s a quiet day, but mostly it’s just the hum of the computers. It’s a bit of a lived-in space. We don't worry too much about dust or things being perfectly straight. We just focus on getting the projects done and keeping the momentum going. It feels like a real place for real work.
