Our office is located on Degree College Road in Belghoria. It's in North Kolkata, so the area is always lively and full of noise. Even though our name mentions the Andaman and Nicobar islands, we do all our operations right here from this spot. Andaman Nicobar Agro Food Processing Private Limited deals with various food processing tasks for the local market. The building is quite near the post office and the local police station, so it’s very easy to find if you are in the area. It’s an old-school neighborhood with narrow streets and lots of small shops. We have a small crew working here. Most of us have lived in Kolkata our whole lives and we like it. We don't use big corporate words or give fancy presentations to anyone. We just get the processing done and make sure everything is handled properly. The office is usually full of the smell of whatever we are working on that day. Sometimes it is the smell of spices, other times it might be grains or dried goods. It’s a very hands-on job. We don't just sit behind computer screens all day. There is always something to lift or move or check in the back. The traffic on the road outside is pretty constant, so it’s never really quiet. We don't have some big formal plan. We just want to do our work well and then head home.
