Amit Garodia

My place is at 11 D, Hazra Road. I’ve been at this address for a long time. It’s a busy part of the city, and there’s always something happening right outside the door. Amit Garodia is just the name on the door, really. I handle things myself mostly. The building has been here forever, or at least it feels like it. Hazra Road is one of those places where you see everything. It can be noisy with the buses and cars, but I’ve gotten used to it over the years. I don’t have a big staff or a corporate setup. It’s just me working from 11 D. People stop by when they need to discuss something. It’s a simple arrangement. I don’t think there is any need for making things more complicated than they have to be. My daily routine involves a lot of paperwork and phone calls. Sometimes I go out for meetings, but mostly I am here at the desk. The space is a bit cramped with files and books, but it works for me. I’ve lived around here too, so I know the neighborhood like the back of my hand. There’s a certain rhythm to life on Hazra Road. It’s fast, but we manage to keep up. I’m not trying to be anything I’m not. I just do the work that comes my way and try to be honest with everyone who walks in. It is just plain work.
