Working at Aguyan Agri And Livestock Producer Company Limited means spending a lot of time outdoors in Sashipurkuliagarh. Our office is really just C/O Mst Jahanara Bibi’s place. We are a small group of farmers and folks who handle livestock around this part of Kolkata. It isn't a glamorous job at all, if I am being honest. Most days involve getting your boots dirty and dealing with whatever the animals need at that moment. We grow some crops too, depending on what the season is doing and how the rain falls. Jahanara keeps things organized from the house, and the rest of us are usually out in the fields or the pens. We talk to our neighbors a lot because everyone around here is doing something similar with their land. It is a community thing more than a big business thing. We just want to make a decent living and keep the farm going for another year. It’s simple, honest work that keeps us busy from sunrise until the sun goes down. We don't need much else to be happy.
