Zad To Zadi Foundation

You can find us at the Adithya Complex in Miraj, right near the Anand Nursing Home. It’s a pretty well-known spot around here. Zad To Zadi Foundation is run out of Flat No. 6. We aren't a big operation. It’s just a few of us from the Sangli area who wanted to do something for the environment and the local community. The name kind of says it all if you think about it. We spend a lot of time outdoors, but this flat is where we handle the paperwork and meet up to plan things. It’s a simple room with a couple of desks and a lot of maps and notes on the walls. Being near the nursing home means it’s easy to give directions to people. We’ve all lived around Miraj for a long time, so we know the land and the people well. We don't have a big budget or anything fancy. We just use what we have and try to make it work. Most days involve a lot of walking and talking to farmers or neighbors. We aren't experts with degrees from big cities. We’re just local people who care about the trees and the ground we walk on. It’s slow work sometimes, but it’s worth it. We just keep at it, one day at a time, from our little office here in the complex, hoping to see more green around us.
