Ashok & Co.

You’ll find Ashok & Co. out on Shiroli Road, over in the MIDC Industrial Area at Plot No. E-63. It’s an industrial part of town, so things are usually pretty loud and dusty around here. We’ve been operating from this plot for quite a while, dealing with various supplies that the local factories need. It’s a lot of metal, tools, and heavy boxes moving in and out every day. My clothes usually have a bit of grease on them by noon, but that’s how it goes when you’re working in MIDC. We aren't here to look pretty; we’re here to make sure the guys running the machines have what they need to keep going. Truck drivers are always pulling up to unload or pick something up for a site down the road. It’s a practical business. We keep a lot of stock on the shelves, though sometimes it takes a minute to find exactly what a customer is looking for in the back storage area. The Shiroli Road traffic can be a mess in the mornings, but we’re usually open before the rush starts. We know the other shop owners around the block, and we all kind of look out for each other. It’s just a steady, working-class place where we focus on getting the right parts to the right people. No frills, just hard work and a bit of noise from the nearby fabrication shops.
