Samvedana Helping Hands Social Foundation

We are over here in Kolhapur, specifically in Shukrawar Peth at the Janwadkars Chintamani Appt. If you know the area, it is quite busy most days. Our office is at G-10. It’s a simple spot, nothing too big or flashy. We started Samvedana Helping Hands Social Foundation because there seemed to be a lot of folks who just needed a bit of support with everyday social issues. We don’t have a big corporate setup or anything like that. It’s just a few of us sitting around desks, talking to people who come through the door. Sometimes the fans are a bit noisy and the tea gets cold before we can drink it because someone comes in with a question. We try to be helpful where we can. It’s not about big speeches or anything. Just helping hands, like the name says. We see a lot of different people every week. Some are regulars from the D Ward area and others come from further away. It can get a bit crowded in the office when more than three people show up at once. We usually just pull up another chair. Kolhapur is a good place to be, even if the traffic gets a bit much near our building. We’ve been here for a while and the neighbors know us. We just keep doing what we do, day by day. No big fancy plans, just staying busy with the work at hand in Shukrawar Peth.
