Sadhana Book Stall

If you're walking down the Main Road in Bhadgaon, you'll find Sadhana Book Stall right near the Prans office. It’s a small shop packed with books and papers. We started this because we liked having a place where people could just grab what they needed for school or work. The shelves are a bit crowded, and sometimes you have to move a stack of magazines to see what’s behind them. We aren't a big chain store with fancy lighting. It’s just a local spot. The dust gets in from the street sometimes, so we spend a lot of time wiping down the covers. On rainy days, the smell of paper is really strong inside. People from the neighborhood come in to chat as much as they come to buy things. We know most of the kids who come in for their pens and notebooks. It’s a quiet life for the most part, though the traffic outside can get loud in the afternoons. We don't have a website or anything like that. We just stay behind the counter and help whoever walks through the door. It’s how we’ve always done it. We keep track of things in a big ledger. It’s a bit old-fashioned, I guess, but it makes sense to us. It is just a regular book stall serving the local folks here in Bhadgaon and keeping the shelves full.
