Saad Foundation

Saad Foundation is located in Kolhapur, in Om Plaza. We’re in the B Ward area, specifically units 1323 and 1324 on the B/1 and B/2 side. Kolhapur is the kind of place where everyone knows everyone, and our office is no different. People just walk in to say hello or ask for a bit of help with something they’re dealing with at home. We deal with various social issues, mostly whatever the local community needs at the time. The plaza can get quite busy during the day with all the shops and other offices around us. Our space is a bit cramped because we have so many files and donated items sitting around in corners. We have a couple of ceiling fans that hum constantly to keep the heat away during the summer months. It’s not a very quiet place to work, but we like the energy. Our staff is just a few local people who wanted to give back to the city we grew up in. We don’t have a big budget, so we do most of the cleaning and organizing ourselves. Sometimes we have meetings sitting on the floor because we ran out of chairs for everyone. It’s very informal. We just want to make sure that if someone in B Ward has a problem, they have a place to go where someone will actually listen to them. We take pride in being a local fixture that people can rely on.
